BERLIN/FRANKFURT, July 17 (Reuters) - The following are some
of the factors that may move German stocks on Friday:

    CORONAVIRUS
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Germany
increased by 583 to 200,843, data from the Robert Koch Institute
(RKI) for infectious diseases showed on Friday. The reported
death toll rose by 4 to 9,082, the tally showed. urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nL5N2EO08C

    DAIMLER DAIGn.DE
Daimler on Thursday said it will post an operating loss of
1.68 billion euros ($1.91 billion) in the second quarter,
pre-releasing earnings following a better-than-expected market
recovery, the carmaker said. urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nASN0009G0
The carmaker plans to cut annual staff costs by around two
billion euros ($2.28 billion) - more than the 1.4 billion euros
it had previously announced, Handelsblatt cited company sources
as saying. It said Daimler was reacting to a slump in sales
caused by the coronavirus crisis and added that the company
would now slash around 20,000 jobs.

    DEUTSCHE BANK DBKGn.DE
Investors are suing Deutsche Bank and its CEO Christian
Sewing, alleging the bank made false and misleading statements
before it agreed to pay a $150 million fine for compliance
failures linked to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

segment this year despite a slide in broader market sales, a
senior executive said. urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nB9N2DN027

    WIRECARD WDIG.DE
The former head of a key subsidiary of Wirecard, who was
arrested earlier this month, has admitted wrongdoing to
prosecutors for his role in a multi-billion-euro fraud, his

In the wake of the Wirecard scandal, exchange operator
Deutsche Boerse DB1Gn.DE said it was proposing rules to enable
it to quickly expel companies from the leading DAX index when
those firms file for insolvency. This ruling, if adopted, could
