Adverum rises as dosing begins in eye therapy study

to $1.14 in afternoon trade
    ** Co says it has dosed first patient in a mid-stage study
testing its drug, ixo-vec, for treating advanced form of an eye

    ** Trial will evaluate drug in subjects with wet age-related
macular degeneration who are 50 years or older and have shown
response to treatment known as anti–vascular endothelial growth
factor therapy 
    ** Co expects initial data from the study in 2023
