Adyen's shares fall after CFO steps down in surprise move
BUZZ-Adyen's shares fall after CFO steps down in surprise move ** Dutch payments firm Adyen ADYEN.AS shares fall 2.3% after it announced on Wednesday that its Chief Financial Officer, Ethan Tandowsky, will leave the company at the end of August
** "Though we are surprised by the timing, we respect his decision to take on a new challenge and wish him the best," chairman of the supervisory board Piero Overmars said
** "An unfortunate surprise," a trader said before the market open, adding that the CFO resignation makes it less likely for Adyen to announce a dividend or a share buyback near-term
** While uncertainty is not a good thing, there is no indication that the move had anything to do with the group's operational performance, the trader added
** Brokerage Evercore ISI said they have been in contact with Adyen after yesterday's news and that there is no change to the FY26 guide, adding they "do not read the announcement as reflecting any change in the business' trajectory"
** Including today's fall, the stock has dropped by 31.36% YTD
