Sterling Energy Plc ("Sterling", or the "Company"), (AIM: SEY), an upstream exploration company with interests in Africa, provides the following update.
On 18 December 2014 the Company announced that Dr Phil Frank had notified the board of his intention to resign as a Director of Sterling; Phil will now step down as a Director of Sterling on 13 March 2015. 
Alastair Beardsall, Sterling's Chairman said:
"Phil has used his excellent sub-surface skills and broad industry experience to assist the Company in exploring its existing assets and identifying possible new ventures. I have enjoyed working with Phil at Sterling and on behalf of the board and shareholders would like to record our thanks to him and to wish him well in the future."
