Affirm falls after forecasting quarterly revenue largely below estimates

** Shares of buy now, pay later lender Affirm Holdings AFRM.O fall 8.2% to $49.82 in extended trading

** Company forecasts Q4 revenue between $815 million and 845 million, the midpoint of which is below analysts' average estimate of $841.42 million, according to data compiled by LSEG

** Company assumes that growth rate in gross merchandise volume — the total amount of all transactions in dollars on the Affirm platform — will moderate in Q4, from the levels observed in April

** Company's Q3 revenue of $783 million is largely in line with analysts' average estimate of $783.03 million

** Up to last close, stock down 10.8% YTD
