Australia's AGL Energy rises to 4-month high as HY profit beats estimates

** Shares of AGL Energy  AGL.AX  rise 1.5% to A$11.89
    ** Stock among top gainers in the benchmark  .AXJO  index
and hits its highest level since October 9
    ** Co posts HY underlying profit of A$373 million, down 6.5%
from a year earlier, but beats Visible Alpha consensus estimate
of A$307.4 million 
    ** However, AGL narrows its fiscal 2025 underlying post-tax
net profit outlook to a range of A$580 mln to A$710 mln,
compared with its previous expectations of A$530 mln to A$730
mln
    ** About 2.2 mln shares change hands, 1.5 times the 30-day
average of shares
    ** Stock up 3.7% this year, as of last close
