Aug 14 (Reuters) - Australia's AGL Energy AGL.AX
reported an 189% jump in its underlying profit for fiscal 2024
on Wednesday, boosted by increased plant availability and higher
electricity prices.
The country's top power producer clocked an underlying
profit of A$812 million ($538.60 million) for the year ended
June 30, beating a Visible Alpha consensus of A$798.3 million
and sharply above the prior fiscal's A$281 million.
