U.S. stocks fell on Tuesday as soaring oil prices and hawkish comments from a
Federal Reserve official spooked investors, with focus turning to talks between
U.S. President Joe Biden and Fed Chair Jerome Powell later in the day.  .N 
    
    At 10:46 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.60% at
33,015.08. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.57% at 4,134.39 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.44% at 12,077.951.
