** Stock marks its biggest intraday pct gain since April 8

** The Asia-focused insurer reported a 13% jump in first-quarter value of new business on Thursday while shrugging off concerns of volatility in global capital markets amid current geopolitical tensions

** YTD, stock up 7%, benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI up 1.4%
