Air Liquide shares drop after in-line half-year results prompts 'some profit taking'
BUZZ-Air Liquide shares drop after in-line half-year results prompts 'some profit taking' ** Shares in Air Liquide AIRP.PA edge down 2.4% after the industrial gas supplier posted half-year results in line with expectations
** However, the results being broadly in line "may prompt some profit taking given the strong YTD performance", says J.P. Morgan
** Air Liquide reported a new record €6 billion ($6.82 billion) in backlog, but JPM says the sustained increase in onsite backlog has not translated into meaningful like-for-like sales or earnings upgrades
** Recurring operating profit rose to €2.89 billion in the first half of the year, compared with analysts' average estimate of €2.91 billion
** Up to the previous session's close, shares were up 21.6% YTD
($1 = 0.8794 euros)
