April 15 (Reuters) - German chip systems manufacturer Aixtron AIXGn.DE on Tuesday raised its revenue guidance for 2026 on the back of stronger-than-expected demand for optoelectronics equipment.
The company expects annual revenue of around 560 million euros ($660 million), plus or minus 30 million euros, having previously forecast it at 520 million euros with the same range of potential variation.
"The significantly stronger-than-expected demand from the optoelectronics sector in the first quarter is a very encouraging development. We expect this trend to continue and have therefore raised our guidance for the year" - CEO Felix Grawert
Aixtron's order intake grew 30% to around 171 million euros in Q1, compared to 132.2 million euros a year ago
It reported an operating loss of around 22 million euros for the quarter, versus a profit of 3.3 million euros last year
Q1 revenue fell to 59 million euros from 112.5 million euros in 2025
