Jupiter Fund's first-half pre-tax profit rises on strong inflows
Jupiter Fund's first-half pre-tax profit rises on strong inflows July 23 (Reuters) - British asset manager Jupiter Fund Management JUP.L reported a 67% rise in first-half pre-tax profit on Thursday, helped by a return to positive net inflows as client demand continued to improve.
Here are some details:
The company said underlying pre-tax profit rose to £50.7 million ($67.87 million) from £30.4 million for the six months ended June 30.
Improving client sentiment and a rotation away from U.S. equities have supported flows into several of Jupiter's investment strategies, as investors sought broader geographic diversification, helping offset market volatility due to the Middle East tensions.
"We are optimistic for an improvement in client sentiment through the remainder of 2026," said CEO Matthew Beesley.
Net inflows totaled 700 million pounds in the first half, reversing net outflows of £200 million a year earlier and extending a recovery in client demand after Jupiter recorded its first year of positive net inflows since 2017 in 2025.
Assets under management rose 36% to £73.7 billion, compared with £54 billion a year earlier.
Separately, investment platform AJ Bell AJBA.L reported a 26% rise in assets under administration to £121.5 billion in its third-quarter update, as investors rebalanced portfolios and increased engagement with their investments during a period of heightened geopolitical and economic uncertainty.
