Norway oil sector workers threaten strike from June 5

OSLO, June 1 (Reuters) - Nearly eight percent of Norwegian offshore oil and gas workers plan to take strike action from June 5 if state-brokered wage mediation fails, labour union data showed on Monday.
It was not immediately clear if a strike would impact Norway's petroleum output.
Some 617 of Norway's roughly 8,100 offshore oil and gas production workers, organised by trade unions Styrke, Lederne and Safe, would be part of a first wave of strikes, according to the government-appointed mediator's office.
