Australia's Alara Resources climbs on commencing work at Oman mine

** Shares of copper-gold miner Alara Resources  AUQ.AX  rise
as much as 18.8% to A$0.019, their highest since July 14 
    ** Co says construction of mine project accommodation camp
at its Al Wash-hi Majaza Copper-Gold project in Oman have

    ** Co says it owns 51% in the Al Hadeetha Resources LLC JV
which was established for developing the project  
    ** Stock marks biggest intraday percentage gain since July
14 and is on track for third consecutive session of gains 
    ** About 2.9 mln shares change hands compared with a 30-day
average of 740,630 shares 
    ** Shares down 11.1% this year, as of last close
