    Dec 28 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions
and disposals were reported by 2130 GMT on Tuesday:
    
    ** Activist investment firm Jana Partners wants Encompass
Health  EHC.N  to re-engage with interested third parties on a
potential merger for its home health and hospice business before
moving forward with a planned spin-off of the unit, sources

    ** Cochan Holdings has ceased to be a shareholder of Puma
Energy Holdings, the fuel retailer said on Tuesday, weeks after
the investment vehicle founded by former Angolan General Dino

    ** Shares in Alerion  ARN.MI  hit a record high, rising as
much as 5.6%, as the controlling family prepares to look for an

    ** Swiss specialty chemicals maker Clariant  CLN.S  said it
would purchase assets from German competitor BASF  BASFn.DE  in
North America in a $60 million cash deal that will help grow its

    ** The value of disclosed mergers and acquisitions in Turkey
was some $14 billion in 2021, with the total rising to around an
