** Shares of retail REIT firm Alexander's ALX.N fall nearly 1% to about $220 in early trading

** Co's Q3 net income declined as tenant exits from its New York City properties pressured rental income and occupancy

** ALX posts Q3 net income of $6 mln, or $1.16/share, as compared to $6.7 mln, or $1.30/share, year ago

     ** However, it reports quarterly funds from operations at $14.9 mln, or $2.91/share, compared with $14.6 mln, or $2.84/share in year-ago period

** Including session moves, shares up 9.5% YTD
