LONDON/MILAN, Sept 27 (Reuters) - Shares in Alfa
Financial Software ALFAAL.L surged as much as 15% on Wednesday
after the company confirmed it is in preliminary talks for an
offer from U.S. private equity firm Thomas H. Lee Partners.
Shares in the London-listed asset finance software company
rose to a more than 11-week high, and were last up 12.3%, their
highest since July 7.
Shares in Alfa had plunged 24.6% on July 7 after investment
firm EQT confirmed it did not intend to make a buyout offer for
the company.
