Earnings Poll: Alior Bank's third-quarter net profit seen down 25% year-on-year
EARNINGS POLL-Alior Bank's third-quarter net profit seen down 25% year-on-year Oct 26 (Reuters) - Polish lender Alior Bank ALRR.WA is expected to report a more than 25% year-on-year drop in third-quarter net profit, driven mainly by a higher corporate income tax rate for banks along with higher costs related to consumer-credit lawsuits.
The bank is expected to post a net profit of 420 million zlotys ($107 million), according to a median of forecasts from five banks and brokerages.
Polish banks are adjusting to a corporate income tax rate of 30% — up from 19% — introduced from 2026 to help finance an increase in defence spending. The rate falls to 26% in 2027 and 23% thereafter.
