** Shares of auto lender Ally Financial ALLY.N rise nearly 3% to about $43.6 premarket

     ** ALLY to repurchase up to $2.0 bln of its common stock under a multi-year share repurchase program without a set expiration date

     ** Co says it may begin repurchasing shares under the program this quarter

     ** Thirteen of 19 brokerages rate the stock "buy" or higher and six "hold"; their median PT is $46; according to data compiled by LSEG

     ** As of last close, shares were up 17.6% YTD
