Telefonica TEF.MC

Telefonica has hired Citi to advise on the sale of its Chilean unit, news website El Confidencial reported on Monday, citing unidentified market sources. The telecom company will likely make a capital loss on the sale, El Confidencial added.

CAIXABANK CABK.MC

Spanish lender CaixaBank is exploring the possibility of acquiring the Portuguese bank Novo Banco, which is majority-owned by the U.S. fund Lone Star, El Confindencial reported on Friday, citing unidentified sources familiar with the negotiations.

SABADELL SABE.MC

Spanish bank Sabadell started preliminary talks with privately held bank Abanca over a possible merger as an alternative to the hostile takeover bid launched by BBVA BBVA.MC, Expansion reported on Monday citing unnamed market sources.

INDRA IDR.MC

Spanish defence company Indra has made a non-binding offer to acquire the Italian group Iveco's IVG.MI armoured vehicle business, El Economista reported on Monday without specifying its source.

ALMIRALL ALM.MC

Spanish pharma firm Almirall reported on Monday a gross profit of 190.4 million euros ($213.78 million) in its first quarter results. The company also said it will pay a scrip dividend of 0.184 euros gross per right.

NEINOR HOMES HOME.MC

Spanish real estate company Neinor Homes announced on Monday a deal for the selling of rental assets for up to 50 million euros.

PRISA PRS.MC

Spanish media conglomerate said on Friday the completion of refinancing of its financial debt.

ORYZON ORY.MC

Spanish biopharmaceutical company Oryzon Genomics reported on Monday a net loss of 1.7 million euros in the first quarter.
