Portage Biotech rises on Merck collaboration for cancer therapy
** Shares of Portage Biotech PRTG.O rise as much as 4.9%
to $6.70
** Co announces agreement with drugmaker Merck MRK.N to
study PRTG's lead therapy, PORT-2, in combination with Keytruda
in an early-to-mid stage study
** PRTG says will test the combination therapy as a
potential treatment for a type of lung cancer
** Under terms, MRK will provide KEYTRUDA for PRTG's trial
and companies to establish a joint committee to evaluate the
combination cohorts in study
** Including session's gain, stock down 39.4% YTD
