** Shares of Eli Lilly LLY.N drop 3.2% to $793, while U.S.-listed shares of Danish drugmaker Novo Nordisk NVO.O slide 3.8% to $53.96

** Shares of other obesity drug developers Viking Therapeutics VKTX.O down 4.4% at $33.22, while Altimmune ALT.O edges 2.6% lower to $3.79

** "We see Trump's public comments as a negotiating lever, and a reference to a goal that he seems to have," Bernstein analyst Courtney Breen said

** YTD, up to last close, LLY up 6.1%, VKTX down 13.7%, ALT down 46%, U.S.-listed Novo down 34.8%
