Wall Street's main indexes slipped on Monday on a drag from shares of Tesla,
while investors also awaited earning reports from U.S. retail giants and
economic data later in the week to gauge the strength of consumer spending.  .N 
    
    At 11:36 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.04% at
35,268.81. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.34% at 4,479.01 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.61% at 13,727.946.
