Poland's statistics office to release its flash CPI data at
0800.
BONDS
Poland's finance ministry to publish May debt supply at
1300.
UKRAINE
Poland wants a serious restriction on the freedom to import
agricultural products from Ukraine, but the EU sees no reason to
expand the list of banned goods beyond grains, Rzeczpospolita
daily reported.
BANKS
One of Poland's top lenders, mBank MBK.WA , reported a fall
of 72% in first-quarter net profit, weighed down by high
provisions for the cost of foreign exchange mortgages.
Poland's Bank Millennium MILP.WA reported on Friday
first-quarter net profit of 252.1 million zlotys ($60.67
million) recovering from last year's 122.3 million zlotys loss.
March 2023 was the first month in a long time in which there
was a significant increase in interest in loans, while the
average creditworthiness in three months increased by almost
20%, Puls Biznesu daily reported.
ALUMETAL AMT.WA
Norwegian metals maker Norsk Hydro NHY.OL on Thursday
raised its offer for Alumetal AMT.WA , nearly a year after it
made its bid to buyout the Polish recycler in an attempt to
strengthen its recycling profile in Europe.
