** Shares of theater chain AMC Entertainment AMC.N rise 5.8% to $3.10 premarket

** AMC reports Q2 revenue of $1.40 billion vs ests of $1.35 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG

** Q2 net loss came in at $4.7 million vs loss of $32.8 million, a year ago

** "Our second quarter results are a combination of a recovering industry-wide box office... we shattered all-time records across nearly every per patron metric" said AMC CEO Adam Aron

** Attendance rose 25.6% to 62 million in Q2

** Up to last close, stock had fallen 26% YTD
