** Shares of Australia-based investment co AMCIL Ltd
 AMH.AX  rise as much as 2% - set for best session since Jan 9,
if gains hold
    ** Co posts HY profit of A$4.1 mln ($2.89 mln), up 13.9%
from a year earlier
    ** AMH declares an interim dividend of 1 Australian cent per
share, in line with last year's dividend
    ** HY income from operating activities came in at A$5.5 mln,
up 20% 
    ** Stock fell 23.8% in 2022 
($1 = 1.4201 Australian dollars)
