** Shares of utility company Ameren AEE.N down 2% at
$73.67
** AEE Q1 2024 net income falls 1%, operating revenue
declines 11.9% from a year earlier to $1.82 bln
** Company hurt by low demand due to mild winter weather in
its service regions and a charge it incurred at its Missouri
unit as part of dispute over air pollution emissions
** AEE up 2% so far this year
