Wall Street's main indexes were on track for a mixed open on Tuesday, as investors assessed the latest inflation numbers and their impact on monetary policy after markets came off sharp gains from the temporary Sino-U.S. trade truce. .N

At 11:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.37% at 42,253.62. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.84% at 5,893.52, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 1.57% at 19,002.56.
