** Critical battery materials firm American Battery
Technology's ABAT.O shares rise 25% to $1.07 premarket
** Company says it has got a contracted grant for $144
million of federal investment by the U.S. Department of Energy
(DOE) to help build a new lithium-ion battery recycling plant
** Says it is awarded the grant along with its subcontractor
Argonne National Laboratory
** The new plant will process approximately 100,000
tonnes/year of battery materials from its automotive OEM, cell
manufacturer and community partners - ABAT
** Up to last close, shares down 81.7% YTD
