U.S. stocks dropped on Monday, with the benchmark S&P 500 at a two-month low as
bond yields surged after robust payroll numbers last week, boosting expectations
that the Federal Reserve will maintain a hawkish stance for most of this
year. .N 
    
At  10:30 EST, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.24% at
42,039.15. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.78% at 5,781.86, and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 1.57% at 18,861.73.
