** Shares in AMG Critical Materials AMG.AS are up 4.6%,
tracking improved lithium prices as the Dutch miner and lithium
supplier recovers from a drop earlier in 2024
** "The share price has been hammered in recent months,
because of the drop in lithium prices, so I would qualify
today's move as a recovery from these movements," says ING
analyst Stijn Demeester
** Between April 1 and April 11, lithium carbonate prices
climbed by 4.65% to CNY 112,500 per ton, after dropping close to
CNY 95,000 per ton in January
** The AMG stock fell nearly 12% between Jan. 1 and Feb. 22;
it has gained 16% since the start of April
** Demeester notes a similar recovery can be seen in other
actors in the sector, such as European Metal Holdings EMHE.L
which is up 34.5% since the beginning of the month
