Morningstar lowers FY27 earnings forecast for Australia's Amotiv
BUZZ-Morningstar lowers FY27 earnings forecast for Australia's Amotiv ** Morningstar cuts its fiscal 2027 earnings forecasts for Australian automotive products firm Amotiv AOV.AX
** Amotiv said it sees "modest" revenue and underlying EBITA growth in fiscal 2027 due to "subdued" conditions in Australia and New Zealand
** Co reported full-year underlying EBITA of A$195.1 million ($137.64 million) on Tuesday, compared with A$192 million a year ago, and statutory NPAT of A$75.1 million versus a loss a year earlier
** Morningstar analysts said while EBITA met their forecasts, outlook was soft
** Morningstar cut Amotiv's 2027 EBITA forecast by 6% to A$197 million, due to weakness in co's 4WD Accessories and Trailering business, including the East Coast Bullbars divestment
** Lowers its fair value estimate by 8% to A$12 per share, citing lower longer-term growth and margins in the 4WD business
** However, it adds that amid weakness in discretionary categories, resilience of Amotiv's "wear-and-repair" powertrain and undercar segment is underappreciated
** YTD, shares down 28.5%
