** Ampol, Australia's top fuel retailer, posts third-quarter sales volume of 6,028 million litres, a 7.6% dip from PCP

** Co's refinery production for the quarter up 37% at 1,252 million litres from previous year

** Reports an increase in its refining margins at Lytton Refinery to $10.64 per barrel in the third quarter, up from $8.71 in the previous quarter

** Around 1.3 million shares change hands; nearly 1.4x 30-day average

** Ampol stock up 7.5%, YTD
