Brief: American Shipping Company considers new senior unsecured bond issue

Feb 7 (Reuters) - American Shipping Company ASA  AMSCA.OL : 
    * Contemplates new senior unsecured bond issue 
    * Net proceeds from new bond issue to be used towards 
repaying all of outstanding principal amount of the company's 
USD 216 million senior unsecured bond issue 
    * Will exercise call option in existing bond to be redeemed 
in full at 101.00% of par value plus accrued interest 
    * Ocean Yield ASA and/or its subsidiaries (OCY) have 
pre-committed a participation of up to 50% of contemplated bond 
issue
