ISTANBUL, Nov 2 (Reuters) - The prototype for a new
automobile produced entirely in Turkey will be completed by 2019
at the latest, with the new car expected to be on the market by
2021, President Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday.
The Turkish government has long held a target of seeing the
production of a wholly Turkey-made car. Prime Minister Binali
Yildirim said earlier on Thursday that five companies would be
selected for the project, and the government would not be
involved in the production.
