Aptevo nearly doubles on positive results from early-stage trial for leukemia drug

** Shares of biotech firm Aptevo Therapeutics Inc  APVO.O 
skyrocket ~94% to $6.73 premarket, top pct gainer across U.S.
exchanges 
    ** Co said late on Sunday its experimental leukemia drug,
APVO436, combined with existing treatments showed clinical
benefit in patients in an early-stage trial of 16 patients
    ** Aptevo will initiate larger mid-stage study in H2 of 2023
    ** Co said the drug was well-tolerated and safe both in
monotherapy and in combination with venetoclax and azacitidine
    ** Acute myeloid leukemia is a type of blood and bone marrow
cancer with excess immature white blood cells
    ** Venetoclax and azacitidine are existing standard-of-care
regime for acute myeloid leukemia 
    ** Up to Friday's close, Aptevo stock down 56% YTD
