Oct 8 (Reuters) - The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq edged higher on Wednesday following a blip in a steady rally, as investors awaited fresh clues on the interest-rate trajectory. .N

At  11:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.30% at 46,740.90. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.52% at 6,749.45, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 0.77% at 22,964.05.
