Steelmaker ArcelorMittal books higher than expected profit in fourth quarter
Feb 5 (Reuters) - ArcelorMittal MT.AS, the world's second largest steelmaker, reported fourth-quarter core profit above market expectations on Thursday, as growing steel demand helps lift expectations for 2026. The Luxembourg-headquartered group posted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of $1.59 billion for the quarter, beating analysts' average estimate of $1.51 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.
