Australia's Archer Materials at near 5-month high on quantum chip progress

** Shares of semiconductor company Archer Materials  AXE.AX 
jump as much as 11.9% to A$0.660, their highest since Jan 25 
    ** Co says its 12CQ quantum computing chip has been
re-engineered for it to function at room temperature in air

    ** Archer says, until now, there was a need for a vacuum or
inert atmosphere for the chip to optimise full functionality 
    ** Shares post their biggest intraday pct gain since June 8 
    ** More than 875,740 shares change hands, as compared with
the 30-day average volume of ~548,714 shares  
    ** Stock down 4.1% this year, as of last close, vs a 3.6%
increase in the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index  .AXJO
