OSLO, Dec 9 (Reuters) - Norwegian government said on
Wednesday it could not approve plans of Swedish Arctic Gold
ARCT.ST to mine for gold and copper in northern Norway due to
opposition from local reindeer herders.
Troms county government said Arctic Gold plans in Nordreisa
municipality were in conflict with reindeer herding in the area,
and the need to preserve nature at the Reisa National Park.
