Australia's Lithium Energy gains on deal for battery-grade lithium plant
** Shares of battery metals explorer Lithium Energy LEL.AX
rise as much as 9% to A$0.97, best day since May 29 if gains
hold
** Co signs a deal with China-based Xi'an Lanshen New
Material Technology over the construction of a battery-grade
lithium plant at LEL's Solaroz project in Argentina
** Under the deal, Lanshen will build and initially operate
the plant at its own cost, while Lithium Energy will be
responsible for securing all necessary approvals
** Stock has risen 15.6% this year as of last close
