Jan 21 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index was
up 0.04% at 0802 GMT.
* MARSTON'S: Marston's MARS.L reported a 3% jump in sales
for the 16-week period ended Jan. 18, driven by a surge in pubs
visits for food and drinks during the Christmas season.
* PREMIER FOODS: Premier Foods PFD.L forecast its annual
profit at the upper-end of analysts' expectations, following
robust sales of its branded products during the key holiday
season.
* SERICA ENERGY: Serica Energy SQZ.L forecast higher
production in 2025.
* ABRDN: Abrdn ABDN.L reported 1.2 billion pounds ($1.5
billion) of net inflows of client cash in the fourth quarter of
2024 but still reported outflows for the year, as it works to
revive its fortunes after several tough years.
* Baillie Gifford US Growth Trust plc: The trust USAB.L
said it had outperformed the S&P 500 Index in sterling terms in
the six months to Nov. 30.
* Argo Blockchain: Argo Blockchain ARB.L said Thomas
Chippas is resigning from his roles as CEO and director.
* OIL: Oil prices were little changed in Asian trading as
investors took stock of President Donald Trump's plans to apply
new tariffs later than expected while boosting oil and gas
production in the United States.
* GOLD: Gold prices rose for a second session as the dollar
weakened, with markets evaluating the possible consequences of
U.S. President Donald Trump's policies in his second term.
* METALS: Most base metals traded in a narrow range on
Tuesday.
* FTSE 100: London's blue-chip FTSE 100 hit a record high on
Monday for the second session in a row.
