Nov 4 (Reuters) - Arista Networks ANET.N forecast fourth-quarter revenue in line with analysts' expectations on Tuesday, following a stronger-than-expected revenue in the third quarter, sending its shares down 11% in extended trading.
Shares of the networking equipment provider had surged approximately 40% as of last close, fueled by a surge in AI investments, as both companies and investors continue to pour capital into the rapidly expanding sector.
Arista forecast fourth-quarter revenue between $2.3 billion and $2.4 billion, compared with estimates of $2.32 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.
For the third quarter, the company posted a revenue of $2.31 billion, above analysts' estimates of 2.25 billion.
