    ECONOMY
    Military production does not help long-term economic growth,
Italy's central bank governor Fabio Panetta said on Thursday, as
NATO countries debate whether to increase defence expenditure.
    Bank of Italy releases November data on foreign investors'
holdings of Italian government bonds.

    The two eldest heirs of late media mogul Silvio Berlusconi
signed off on Thursday a new three year pact rugulating their
joint control of the family holding company Fininvest, axing a
previous open-ended pact, regulatory filings showed. 
    The new pact does not include any withdrawal right and
confirmed Marina and Pier Silvio Berlusconi obligation to vote
together at the family holding company's shareholder meetings.
Fininvest hold stakes in TV group MFE-MediaForEurope, publisher
Mondadori and asset management Mediolanum.

    Italian asset manager aims to sell 80% of its new fintech
bank to FSI by the end of March, targeting a market value for
the new lender of 1.8-2.2 billion euros ($1.9-$2.3 billion),
Chairman Pietro Giuliani said on Thursday.

    Rome, Industry Minister Adolfo Urso convenes meeting on

    Milan, Men's fashion shows "Milan Fashion Week Men's
Collection" start; end on Jan. 21.
