ROME, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Italian Prime Minister Giorgia
Meloni said on Thursday she would be ready to talk to Pier
Silvio Berlusconi or his sister Marina were they to decide to
enter into politics.
Marina and Pier Silvio, Berlusconi's eldest children,
jointly control family holding company Fininvest, which owns
stakes in TV group MFE-MediaForEurope MFEB.MI , publisher
Mondadori MOED.MI and asset manager Banca Mediolanum
BMEd.MI . They have repeatedly dismissed speculation they may
seek public office.
"I would be open and ready, if such a hypothesis were to
materialise, to talk about it (with them)," Meloni said,
answering a question in a wide-ranging press conference held
annually around the turn of the year.
