Artivion slumps on halting trial of heart valve with different drug

** Shares of Artivion Inc  AORT.N  fall ~22% to $14.43 
    ** Co stops clinical trial for use of heart valve with
apixaban, a drug used to reduce risk of blood clots and stroke,
against an older drug warfarin which is currently used

    ** Decision based on recommendations of an independent data
and safety monitoring board (DSMB) - co
    ** DSMB found that blood clots, resulting in stroke, were 
more frequent in patients receiving apixaban, which made the
trial unlikely to achieve the primary goal while exposing
patients to increased risks - co
    ** 5 of 6 brokerages covering the stock rate "buy" or
higher, 1 "hold"; their median PT is $29
    ** Including session's fall, stock down ~26% YTD
