Brief: A.S.Creation Tapeten: appeal filed by French Competition Authority

May 24 (Reuters) - A.S. Creation Tapeten AG  ACWNn.DE : 
    * Said on Monday that on April 14 published announcement 
according to which penalties imposed by the French Competition 
Authority on two French member companies of A.S. Création Group, 
had been reduced significantly by court of appeal in Paris 
    * Said French Competition Authority has now filed appeal 
against verdict with the French supreme court  
    * Said verdict of the court of appeal has consequently not 
become final yet 
    * Said A.S. Creation will therefore post earnings of 2.9 
million euros ($3.25 million) resulting from verdict of the 
court of appeal only once it has been confirmed by French 
supreme court
