ASA International Group plc - CFO Appointment
ASA International Group plc (LSE: ASAI), one of the world's largest
international microfinance institutions, is delighted to announce the
appointment of Geert Embrechts as Chief Financial Officer.
Geert Embrechts will join ASA International on 1 February 2026 and will be
based in the Amsterdam head office. Geert will be responsible for the Finance,
Treasury, Tax and Investor Relations functions. As an Executive Committee
member, Geert will work in close collaboration with all areas of the business
on supporting the execution of ASA International's strategy to drive long term
sustainable growth.
Geert joins from Rabobank where he currently serves as Chief Financial Officer
of the Wholesale & Rural business unit, which represents the international
business of Rabobank. In total, he has 30 years of experience at Rabobank
leading and scaling finance, control and operational functions across
different business lines and numerous geographies. This deep financial
services expertise alongside extensive experience in managing international
operations, particularly in the emerging markets, will be invaluable in his
new role at ASA International. In addition, Geert also has extensive board
experience having served on several Supervisory Boards during his career.
It is the intention that Geert will be appointed to the Board of ASA
International as an Executive Director in due course.
Tanwir Rahman, the Group's current Chief Financial Officer, will assume a new
role of Finance Director and will remain based in the Dhaka head office.
