IPPC Permit Update
The Board of Ascent would like to update the market on the following operational matters with regards to the IPPC Permit.
The Company understands that there has been at least one objection to the award of the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control ("IPPC") Permit from the Environmental Agency in Slovenia in relation to the installation of a Gas Gathering and Separation Station at its Petiovci field. Ascent has yet to receive formal notification of such objections. Nevertheless, on the assumption that such objections have been lodged, the IPPC permit award is likely to be referred to the Environment Minister in the first instance for further consideration and potentially thereafter to the Slovenian Courts before it is declared legally valid. While the outcome and timing of this process is uncertain, the Board continues in the expectation that the issuance of the IPPC permit will be finally confirmed.
