BUZZ-Ascletis Pharma slips on expecting deeper H1 loss on R&D expenses ** Shares of Ascletis Pharma Inc 1672.HK slip 4.5% to HK$9.565, on track for the biggest one-day pct drop since August 10
** The viral diseases and oncology focused pharmaceutical products developer expects to record net loss of 319.7 million yuan ($47.55 million) six months ended in June, as compared with a loss of 88 million yuan the same period a year ago
** Company said deeper loss is due to significant increase in research and development expenses as it advances its comprehensive metabolic disease pipeline, including both small molecules and peptides
** YTD, stock down 15.9%, while Hang Seng Biotech Index .HSBIO up 9.9%
